Web Reader poor pronunciation and fluency example for struggling readers

At school we use Chromebooks.  The Speak it!  extension has excellent voice quality, pronunciation,  and life like fluency.  Is there a way to allow Bookshare books to be read by Speak it instead of the web reader?  For students trying to use Web Reader to help them access higher level text, it's fluency and pronunciation are poor examples for the struggling reader.

Hi Kathy,

Unfortunately we have effectively no control over integrating with Speak It.  As our Web Reader effectively just displays the book like a web page we aren't honestly sure what would block Speak It from accessing the text.  We have noted that on some Chromebooks with Speak It installed we've found that they include Speak it as a voicing option, try going to the Web Reader settings and from the voice drop down box see if it's available there.  If not we do generally recommend using the HQ English Chrome voice as at this time it appears to be the best alternative available.
